Latest Information From PA’s Highest Skiable Mountain! Covid-19 Statement & Information! Winter Operating Plan!

 Disclaimer: As in the case with any public or other facility outside of the home, there is always a chance that the use of the slopes, Summit Lodge, lifts,  golf course, Blue Knob Clubhouse or other limited facilities now available at Blue Knob may expose you to the COVID-19 Virus. Your decision to access the slopes, lifts,  golf course, restaurant or the facilities is made knowingly and voluntarily by you with the full knowledge of this risk. If you disagree, we ask that you please not use the slopes, Summit Lodge, Blue Knob clubhouse, golf course or any other facilities available at Blue Knob.  If you do choose to access any available facilities at Blue Knob, you actions shall constitute a waiver, and will release Blue Knob from any and all liability with respect to exposure to the COVID-19 Virus. We also ask that you also fully comply with any and all other rules, practices and procedures that may be required or suggested by the Commonwealth of PA or otherwise required or suggested at Blue Knob.


We want to assure everyone that our focus is on an environment that is safe for everyone. In order to comply with the current restrictions and mandates, there will be some changes that require cooperation from all. We hope everyone will be kind and patient with our staff and other guests as we all go through this challenging time together.  At this time, Blue Knob All Seasons Resort has no plans to require skiers or snowboarders to make a reservation for slope use, as many other ski areas are doing. However, there are some protocols that have to be followed, so Blue Knob has implemented the following winter operating plan:
  • Blue Knob encourages on-line ticket and rental purchases to promote touchless transactions.
  • All lessons must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance by calling 814-239-1006.
  • Anyone participating in lessons is required to have their temperature taken. Group class sizes may be restricted.
  • Snow tubing sessions must be reserved in advance by calling 814-239-5111
  • We are advising our guests that, due to existing state restrictions and mandates, there will be limited capacity (50%) at all indoor facilities. Guests may expect to spend more time outdoors or at their vehicles to eat and/or stay warm.
  • Outdoor “porta-potties” will be available outside the Summit Lodge.
  • Guests will use designated entrances/exits in the Summit Lodge.
  • There will be no bar service at Mueller’s Pub in the Summit Lodge. A meal must be consumed in order to buy alcohol.
  • Due to reduced capacity, no outside food or beverages may be brought to the Summit Lodge.
  • Food operations may be limited to “Grab N’ Go” or prepackaged food in the Summit Lodge. The “Grab  N’ Go” window on the Summit Lodge deck will be in operation Friday through Sunday or as needed on other days.
  • We will be ramping up cleaning & disinfecting efforts in all areas of the resort.
  • All employees will be given a temperature check at the start of every shift.
  • Hand sanitation stations will be available throughout the Summit Lodge.
  • Mask wearing and social distancing is required in all facilities, lift lines and on chairlifts.
  • Unless skiers/riders are from the same household or have traveled together, they must ride the chairlift as a single.
  • Groups will be scheduled at staggered arrival times to increase distancing.
  • Blue Knob will not allow the safety and well-being of our guests and employees to be compromised, nor will we allow our licenses and/or certifications to be jeopardized by willful non-compliance. Our employees and security will work together to ensure guests are following guidelines. Guest who do not comply with COVID-19 restrictions will be asked to leave.

We also received some additional mandates from the state which affect gatherings, both public and private, which will be adhered to at the resort. Although we understand that many of the restrictions are an inconvenience, we must ask everyone else to follow them, as well. These procedures  are not comprehensive and may be limited or modified at any time due to changing circumstances. We appreciate your patience & cooperation as we all head into a very different winter sports season!

 Blue Knob All Seasons Resort is very serious about the safety and well-being of our guests and staff. The Covid-19 situation is ever changing and each day we learn more critical information.  We would like to assure you that we are closely monitoring guidance from the CDC and federal and local health authorities to ensure that we are taking necessary actions to protect our employees and customers. Our employees have been updated on CDC-recommended hygiene standards, sanitization requirements, and effective social distancing tactics.  We’re also requiring employees to stay home if they experience certain health-related symptoms and also to stay home if a household member is ill.

Our valued customers and hard-working staff are top of mind when considering how to proceed in this time of uncertainty. We will continue to update you with the latest information on what we are doing to keep everyone safe and also to provide food services and recreational opportunities in a responsible manner. Our winter sports ski season will soon be underway and we have many trails for hiking, trail running and mountain biking! We hope everyone will come to Blue Knob All Seasons Resort soon to enjoy the fresh air in our fun, safe environment here at PA’s Highest Skiable Mountain!

The Blue Knob Clubhouse will continue to offer both dine-in and take-out services – however, some of the state COVID-19 mandates affect HOW we are able to do business. We hope that you will be patient as our staff operates with these restrictions. The ones that will affect us the most are additional reduced capacity (50%, including staff) , the elimination of bar service and size of indoor gatherings (maximum of 25 people). The new restrictions are posted below – we appreciate your understanding and continued patronage of the Blue Knob Clubhouse. The restrictions are as follows:

Occupancy is limited to 50 percent of stated fire-code maximum occupancy for indoor dining.

A private indoor event or gathering in a business in the retail food services industry is limited to 25 persons.

All businesses in the retail food services industry, including restaurants, wineries, and bars, are permitted to provide take-out and delivery sales of food, as well as dine-in service  in both indoor and outdoor seating areas so long as they strictly adhere to the requirements of the guidance, as required by the order, including:

All service must be at a table or booth; bar service is prohibited.

Non-bar seating in outdoor areas (i.e., tables or counter seats that do not line up to a bar or food service area) may be used for customer seating.

Customers being served must be seated at a table.

The maximum occupancy limit includes staff.

Social distancing, masking, and other mitigation measures must be employed to protect workers and patrons.

Alcohol only can be served for on-premises consumption when in the same transaction as a meal.  Take-out sales of alcohol for the purposes of off-site consumption are permitted subject to any limitations or restrictions imposed by Pennsylvania.

While we want ALL of you here, we also must adhere to the guidelines in accordance with the State Department of Health and PA Liquor Control Board.

  • Chairs and tables are placed strategically to meet requirements, please do not move them.
  • All guests are required to wear a mask in the restaurant except while seated at your table.
  • We know you are anxious to see everyone just as much as we are, but please don’t mingle.
  • Our staff will be seating you and we ask that you remain at that table, and your server can get you anything you may need.
  •  We can seat groups of up to six people of the same household. (Blue Knob policy)
  • You must be seated while eating and drinking.

We are operating at one-half capacity both indoors and outdoors. Our peak hours are Friday through Sunday from 6:30-9 pm. We will not be accepting reservations at this time, but do encourage calling ahead to 814-239-1024 to find out wait times.

We are SO happy to be able to  continue to welcome you to the Blue Knob Clubhouse! We continue to clean and sanitize rigorously. We want to assure you that we are closely monitoring guidance from health authorities to ensure that we are taking necessary actions to protect our customers and employees.  We will continue to do so as we move forward.
