June 11, 2018Latest News & Information From PA’s Highest Skiable Mountain! Update On Costume Party, Pond Skim & End Of Season Party!
Due to current weather conditions, our slopes & trails are temporarily closed. We have good news…and some “not so good” news! First…the “not so good” news is that we (obviously!) will not be able to open this weekend (3/14 & 3/15) for our annual “Spring Fling Costume Parade & Pond Skim” due to the deteriorated conditions from warm weather & rain. . The good news is….we will do the Costume Contest on Saturday, March 21st as part of our “Slopes Down, Party Up Season Send-Off” from noon until 6 pm in the Summit Lodge! In addition, there is the possibility that we may be able to do the Pond Skim that day! We currently have a window of opportunity to make some snow at the beginning of next week – it isn’t forecast to last long enough to make snow for skiing – but, our plan is to blow enough snow to make a pond skim and put up a couple of rails! This will be for hiking only…no lifts will be operating…but it should make for a fun afternoon! Conditions permitting, we’ll start the Pond Skim at noon! Don’t forget – we’ll also be having a “Closest To the Pin’ Contest for a shot at winning a 2026 golf membership and the best costume will win a 2026-2027 full season pass! There will also be live music from 2 – 5 by Felix & The Hurricanes, food & drink specials, a Captain Morgan promotion, games and fun for everyone! You can also shop the “March Meltdown Sale” at Summit Ski & Sports and buy your season pass! Hope to see you there!
(Our snow report is based on snow & weather conditions, as well as trail and lift status that were in effect or expected at the time the report was posted. Weather and skier/snowboarder use, as well as other factors, can cause these conditions to change quickly. Lift access & hours may change without prior notice and slopes may be opened or closed, based on conditions.)
